2023년 가을학기가 이번 주 토요일(9/9)에 시작합니다.
110여 명의 학생이 등록하여 총 13개 반으로 편성하였고 담임 교사 13명, 보조교사 17명, 교감 1명 등 총 31명 외 여러 자원봉사자가 협력하여 재미있고 유익하며 잘 소통하는 학교가 되기 위해 최선을 다할 것입니다.
봄학기 <한국 전통문화 체험 학습의 날> 행사에 이어 이번 가을학기에는 11/4(토)에 <K-문화 체험 학습의 날>을 열어 “오늘날의 한국 문화”를 배우는 축제의 장을 만들 예정입니다. 학부모님도 많이 참여하여 주시기를 바랍니다.
각 반 가을학기 15주 교과 진도표는 교회 웹사이트 (www.jubileekapc.org) → 한국학교 → 자료실에서 보실 수 있습니다. 또한 개별적으로 학부모님께 이메일로도 발송하오니 꼭 확인하여 자녀가 어떤 내용을 배우게 되는지 숙지하시고 이번 학기 동안 집에서 숙제, 복습 및 예습을 도와주시면 감사하겠습니다.
------------------- 개강일 주요 사항 ----------------------
• 개강 일시 : 2023년 9월 9일 오전 9:30 (시간을 꼭 지켜 주세요.)
• 모임 장소: 본관 예배당 (교실로 가지 않고 모두 예배당으로 오세요)
• 일정:
o 9:30~10:15 - 개강 예배 (학부모 참석)
o 10:15~12:30 – 반 별 학부모 오리엔테이션1 후 정상 수업 or 정상 수업 후 반 별 학부모 오리엔테이션 2
o 12:30 본관 Lobby 혹은 교실 앞에서 기다리시면 자녀를 만날 수 있습니다
※ 각 반 별 학부모 오리엔테이션은 반에 따라 오전과 오후로 나누어집니다.
- 반 별 학부모 오리엔테이션 1(10:15~10:25): 병아리반, 아람반, 씨앗반, 새싹반, 풀앞반, 이슬반
- 반 별 학부모 오리엔테이셔 2(12:20~12:30): 진달래반, 나리반, 목련반, 장미반, 국화반, 채송화반, 수선화반
※ 주차 주의사항:
- 교회에서는 서행하여 주시고 반드시 주차는 교회 넓은 주차장에 주차하고 아이들을 안전하게 교실로 데려다주십시오. 하교할 때도 마찬가지입니다.
- 교회에 들어오자마자 있는 오른편 주차장에는 주차하지 마세요. 왜냐하면 이곳에서 등하교 시에 아이들이 주의 없이 뛰어다닐 수도 있어서 안전사고가 날 수도 있기에 미리 예방하고자 하는 조치이오니 이해하여 주세요.
※ 학생 준비물:
필기도구, 바인더, 간단한 노트, 가방, 간식 (단, 땅콩은 보내지 마세요.)
교과서, 부교재, 받아쓰기 노트 등은 학교에서 당일 제공합니다.
수업 중에는 학생들은 절대로 전화기 및 게임기를 소지할 수 없음을 알려드립니다.
※ 개강 첫날 결석하는 학생은 미리 담임교사에게 알려주시면 감사하겠습니다.
------------------------반 배정----------------------------
반편성 기준은 등록 마감 후 기존 학생은 교사와 의논하면서 지난 학기의 학생별 학업 성취도, 중간/기말고사, 재진단 테스트 결과를 토대로 또 신규 학생은 진단 테스트, 학부모와의 인터뷰 및 지원서 정보를 토대로 결정하였습니다. 한 명, 한 명씩 분석하여 어떻게 하면 보다 효율적으로 학습 능력을 향상할 수 있을까 고민하면서 배정하였습니다. 어떤 학생의 경우 지난 학기와 다른 반에 편성되기도 합니다만 학생의 발전을 위한 결정이므로 이해해주시기를 바랍니다.

Dear JPC Korean School Families!
We are so pleased to announce that JPC Korean School's Fall Semester for 2023 will begin this Saturday, September 9th!
We have registered about 110 students and organized into a total of 13 classes. There will be 13 homeroom teachers, 17 assistant teachers, 1 director, and numerous volunteers working together to operate the school with the utmost dedication, ensuring it's fun, educational, and fosters effective communication.
While we have the <한국 전통문화 체험학습의 날 Traditional Culture Experience Day> in the spring semesters, we will host <K-Culture Experience Day> on November 4th (Saturday) in the upcoming fall semester. We will welcome parents for the event!
The 15 weeks curriculum schedule for each class in the fall semester can be found on the church ※ Teacher profiles are available in detail on the church website(www.jubileekapc.org)-> "한국학교 Korean School" -> "교사 소개 Teacher Introduction").
Additionally, we will send it via email to parents individually. Please make sure to review it and help your child with their homework, review, and preparation at home during this semester.
------------------- Key Information for the Opening Day ---------------------
• Opening Date: September 9, 2023, at 9:30 AM (please arrive on time).
• Location: Main Sanctuary (Please come directly to the sanctuary without going to the classrooms).
• Schedule:
- 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM: Opening Worship (Parents are encouraged to attend).
- 10:15 AM to 12:30 PM: Parent Orientation 1 & regular classes.
- 12:30 PM: Parent Orientation 2 / If You attend in Parent Orientation 1, you can wait for your children in the Main Lobby or pick up them at the classrooms.
※ Parent Orientation time is different according to a class
- 10:15 AM to 10:25 AM: 병아리반, 아람반, 씨앗반, 새싹반, 풀잎반, 이슬반
- 12:20 PM to 12:30 PM: 진달래반, 나리반, 목련반, 장미반, 국화반, 채송화반, 수선화반
※ Parking Guidelines:
Please drive slowly within the church premises and park only in the big church parking lot on the left side of the main building when dropping off and picking up your children. This is to ensure their safety.
Do not park in the small parking lot on the right as you enter the church, as children might run around there during arrival and dismissal, posing a safety risk. This is a precautionary measure, and we appreciate your understanding.
※ Student Supplies:
Writing utensils, a binder, a small notebook, a backpack, snacks (please do not send peanuts).
Textbooks, supplementary materials, dictation notebooks, etc., will be provided by the school on the first day.
Please note that students are not allowed to bring phones or gaming devices to class.
※ If your child will be absent on the first day of class, please inform the homeroom teacher in advance. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
The criteria for class assignments were based on various factors. For existing students, we considered their academic achievements from the previous semester, including mid-term and final exams, as well as re-evaluation test results and discussion with teachers. For new students, class assignments were determined through diagnostic tests, interviews with parents, and information provided in the application forms. Each student was analyzed individually to determine how we could enhance their learning abilities more efficiently.
Please understand that some students may be assigned to different classes compared to the previous semester, as this decision was made with the goal of fostering each student's development.
