Job Description:
SunGard's Adaptiv business unit is looking for an energetic C# software developer for their growing back office processing software product (Adaptiv Operations).
An ideal candidate would be one that enjoys working with leading edge Microsoft technologies and an experience/interest in the financial markets.
Our development team is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a back office suite of products used by investment banks in their derivatives trading business for risk management.
Adaptiv Operations provides for operational risk management in the area of general ledger, customer data repository, settlements, swift messaging, confirmation generation and reporting.
We are moving into the enterprise software space by providing our products as reusable services in an SOA environment.

Qualifications:
• The candidate should have 2+years of experience developing software in Microsoft technologies.
• Strong command of OO concepts is a must.
• Demonstrable experience in c# and the .net framework.
• Knowledge of Advanced debugging and problem solving techniques
• Knowledge of working with the SQL Server RDBMS is must
• Experienced with n-tier client server development.
• Web development experience with asp.net a plus.
• Full product life cycle development experience. Ability to analyze application requests and business requirements
• Strong interest in understanding our business. Be more than just a techie.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to deal with more than one problem at a time.
• Willingness to go the extra mile and be a team player.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and apply them toward product development is expected of this position.
Educational requirements
B.S. degree in computer science or engineering. Masters is a plus.
