2024년 봄학기가 이번 주 토요일(2/10)에 시작합니다.
115명의 학생이 등록하여 총 13개 반으로 편성하였고 담임 교사 13명, 보조교사 18명, 교감 1명 등 총 32명 외 여러 자원봉사자가 협력하여 재미있고 유익하며 잘 소통하는 학교가 되기 위해 최선을 다할 것입니다.
이번 봄학기에는 4/20(토)에 <역사 문화 체험 학습의 날>을 열어 “옛날 옛날 다섯 나라 이야기”라는 주제 아래 한국 고대국가(부여 가야 고구려 백제 신라)에 관해서 쉽고 즐겁게 배울 예정입니다. 지난 가을학기 체험 학습의 날을 위해 많은 학부모께서 자원봉사자로 수고하여 주셨는데 이번 행사에도 많은 참여 부탁드립니다.
각 반 봄학기 15주 교과 진도표는 교회 웹사이트 (www.jubileekapc.org) → 한국학교 → 자료실에서 보실 수 있습니다. 또한 개별적으로 학부모님께 이메일로도 발송하오니 꼭 확인하여 자녀가 어떤 내용을 배우게 되는지 숙지하시고 이번 학기 동안 집에서 숙제, 복습 및 예습을 도와주시면 감사하겠습니다.
이번 개강일은 한국 최대 명절인 설날입니다. 각 반에서 특별 학습활동도 하고 전교생이 모여 떡국 잔치를 가집니다. 이를 위해 한국학교 PTO에서 떡국 준비를 도와주시기로 했는데 정말 감사드립니다.
------------------- 개강일 주요 사항 ----------------------
• 개강 일시: 2024년 2월 10일 오전 9:30 (시간을 꼭 지켜 주세요.)
• 모임 장소: 본관 예배당 (교실로 가지 않고 모두 예배당으로 오세요)
• 일정:
o 9:30~10:10 - 개강 예배 (학부모 참석)
o 10:15~12:30 – 반 별 학부모 오리엔테이션1 후 정상 수업 or 정상 수업 후 반 별 학부모 오리엔테이션 2
o 12:30- 설 떡국 잔치가 있는 Liberty Hall/교제실에서 자녀를 픽업하십시오.
※ 각 반 별 학부모 오리엔테이션은 반에 따라 오전과 오후로 나누어집니다.
- 반 별 학부모 오리엔테이션 1(10:15~10:25): 병아리반, 아람반, 씨앗반, 새싹반, 풀앞반, 이슬반
- 반 별 학부모 오리엔테이셔 2(12:20~12:30): 진달래반, 나리반, 목련반, 장미반, 국화반, 채송화반, 수선화반
※ 주차 주의사항:
- 교회에서는 서행하여 주시고 반드시 주차는 교회 넓은 주차장에 주차하고 아이들을 안전하게 교실로 데려다 주십시오. 하교할 때도 마찬가지입니다.
- 교회에 들어오자마자 있는 오른편 주차장에는 주차하지 마세요. 왜냐하면 이곳에서 등하교 시에 아이들이 주의 없이 뛰어다닐 수도 있어서 안전사고가 날 수도 있기에 미리 예방하고자 하는 조치이오니 이해하여 주세요.
※ 학생 준비물:
필기도구, 바인더, 간단한 노트, 가방, 간식 (단, 땅콩은 보내지 마세요.)
교과서, 부교재, 받아쓰기 노트 등은 학교에서 당일 제공합니다.
수업 중에는 학생들은 절대로 전화기 및 게임기를 소지할 수 없음을 알려드립니다.

Dear JPC Korean School Families!
We are so pleased to announce that the JPC Korean School's Spring Semester for 2024 will begin this Saturday, February 10th!
We have registered 115 students and organized into a total of 13 classes. There will be 13 homeroom teachers, 18 assistant teachers, 1 director, and numerous volunteers working together to operate the school with the utmost dedication, ensuring it's fun, educational, and fosters effective communication.
This spring semester, on April 20th (Saturday), we will be hosting "History and Culture Experience Learning Day" under the theme of "Once Upon a Time in the Five Ancient Kingdoms." During this event, we aim to make learning about ancient Kingdoms (Buyeo, Gaya, Goguryeo, Baekje, Silla) easy and enjoyable. Many parents contributed as volunteers for the experiential learning day last fall semester, and we kindly ask for your active participation in this upcoming event as well.
The 15 weeks curriculum schedule for each class in the fall semester can be found on the church ※ Teacher profiles are available in detail on the church website(www.jubileekapc.org)-> "한국학교 Korean School" -> "교사 소개 Teacher Introduction").
Additionally, we will also send it via email to parents individually. Please make sure to review it and help your child with their homework, review, and preparation at home during this semester.
This semester's opening day is Korean biggest holiday, Seollal. In each class, special learning activities commemorating Seollal will be conducted, and all students will gather to hold Tteokguk (rice cake soup) Feast. We are truly grateful for the PTO's assistance in preparing the tteokguk for this occasion.
------------------- Key Information for the Opening Day ---------------------
• Opening Date: February 10, 2023, at 9:30 AM (please arrive on time).
• Location: Main Sanctuary (Please come directly to the sanctuary without stopping by the classrooms).
• Schedule:
- 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM: Opening Worship (Parents are encouraged to attend).
- 10:15 AM to 12:30 PM: Parent Orientation 1 & regular classes or regular classes & Parent Orientation 2
- 12:30 PM – child pick up at the Liberty Hall/ the cafeteria
※ Parent Orientation time is different according to a class
- 10:15 AM to 10:25 AM: 병아리반, 아람반, 씨앗반, 새싹반, 풀잎반, 이슬반
- 12:20 PM to 12:30 PM: 진달래반, 나리반, 목련반, 장미반, 국화반, 채송화반, 수선화반
※ Parking Guidelines:
Please drive slowly within the church premises and park only in the big church parking lot on the left side of the main building when dropping off and picking up your children. This is to ensure their safety.
Do not park in the small parking lot on the right as you enter the church, as children might run around there during arrival and dismissal, posing a safety risk. This is a precautionary measure, and we appreciate your understanding.
※ Student Supplies:
Writing utensils, a binder, a small notebook, a backpack, snacks (please do not send peanuts).
Textbooks, supplementary materials, dictation notebooks, etc., will be provided by the school on the first day.
Please note that students are not allowed to bring phones or gaming devices to class.
※ If your child will be absent on the first day of class, please inform the homeroom teacher in advance. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
